I just came back from London.
It's a pity I caught the flu bug and most of my time was spent sleeping in the hotel room. Luckily I was vaccinated a few months before; this bout of flu was mild and I recovered within a short period. I am still coughing though, I guess it will take a while for the residual cough to subside.
Despite falling ill, this trip to London was not exactly uneventful. On the day of arrival, my set of crew and I went to Bayswater and had the famous roasted duck for dinner. I have heard so much about the Bayswater roasted duck. I am glad I finally tasted it. The food is good, and I will definitely visit this restaurant again. If you are going in a big group, do order the set lunch/dinner. The waiter will serve many dishes in the centre of the table and you help yourself...the Chinese-style.
In the evening on the day of arrival, I met Gerald and we had a meal together. It is nice to be able to catch up with a good friend abroad. After the meal, we went to a cafe for coffee. Due to jet-lag and minimal rest, I was actually very tired by then. But I tried to keep myself going.
I would love to visit London again! I love hearing the British English. It's so authentic and beautiful. Singapore was once a British colony but our English is nowhere near theirs.
